The TACTIKKA PLUS 4 LED technology hands-free/head-light was in fact specifically designed for activities such as deer-stalking, fishing or exploring the great outdoors on a regular basis.
Providing up to 35 Lumens via three lighting levels plus a flashing mode for signalling the user's location in an emergency. The lighting mode is selected using the easy-to-use single button; this adjusts lighting levels quickly and easily to the situation and in doing so, favours either overall brightness and beam penetration or economical burn time (up to 150 hours in 'economy' mode). The red filter flips across the 4 LED manifold to enable discreet/night-vision lighting when required.
The entire module is easily adjusted to suit the working situation, up or down-hill walking.
Each TacTikka is individually tested, has a 3-Year Warranty is supplied with three AAA - (LR03) Duracell batteries and weighs in at 78g when batteries are loaded. The unit is durably water resistant....that means rain, don't go scuba-diving with it.

The Petzl TacTikka XP High powered single LED headlamp provides a slightly more sophisticated hand-free lighting system with more features than the TacTikka Plus. This unit has a powerful and angle-adjustable white LED light with 3 power modes plus a signalling mode and a 'boost' setting which provides a 50m beam; in economy mode the battery burn time is a respectable 120 hours (See the TacTikka Plus for 150 hours burn time). Power is emitted from a single unregulated LED roughly equivalent to a 1 watt LED light source with a rating of 40 Lumens.
The Tac Tikka XP includes 3 coloured filters (red, green & blue) any of which can be used to replace the white diffuser providing lighting options for signalling or night-vision, map reading and or fluid/blood tacking for example.
Weighs only 95g loaded with 3 x AAA batteries - 3 x AAA (LR03) Duracell batteries are included. 3 Power settings for battery conservation plus the Boost mode. Although it only weighs 27g, The Petzl e+LITE is a fully-featured headlamp that can truly be carried anywhere and is reliable in any environment; it features two main beam brightness levels as well as red and white strobe modes. Its also fully waterproof to 1 meter.

This little gem can be packed away in your emergency pack for up to 10 years and will still be operational when you really need it.

On only a single CR2032 lithium battery (widely available in most chemists) the Petzl e+LITE headlamp can shine for up to 4 nights on the trot (45 hours) and is extremely easy and versatile to use.

This classic multi-function torch from Gerber requires very little introduction; more of a 'tool' than a light and a top favourite among military and outdoors users for years. The 'Dial' (Diode Illumination Adjustable Lens) technology provides selection of 4 colour LED white, green, red and blue; the twist dial at the front of the unit allows you to select the colour of light appropriate to your task - White provides good general purpose light; Red preserves night vision; Green for map reading and Blue for use in blood/fluid tracking.
The torch is made from anodised aircraft aluminium, it is compact, robust and it weighs just 2.6oz (74g). The unit is powered by just one AA battery, and is supplied with a clip for belt/pocket storage, finish is black.
The light is switched on via thread at the back of the unit; this thread when completely undone allows access to the battery compartment (reverse your batteries when not is use for added batter life). The thread is protected by a rubber 'O' ring to prevent ingress of water.
The light source is a strong LED and lasts well in field conditions; soldiers who we have supplied report back to us that one single quality AA battery will lasted a full three month winter deployment to Norway; given that cold further degrades battery life we think this is a ringing endorsement of the product.
