Designed in Scandinavia this little tool brings a much needed element of civilisation to eating out-doors. Easy to keep clean, useful (because it’s good at everything it’s designed to be used for), colourful (so less easily lost) and at 9g very light, this is the ultimate in compact eating utensils. We use them al the time when eating meals, long enough to reach to the bottom of pre-prepared meal bags and handy for stirring outdoor-brews.
If you only carry one piece of emrgency kit, carry this one; this is a really well thought-out piece of kit – three essential survival aides: Locking blade, Fire Steel and Whistle all in one neat package. Well designed and very ruggedly made.
Probably the best Firesteel available; impervious to weather the steel provides a sheet of white-hot (5,500 degree F) sparks that will ignite yoru dry tinder immediately ..with a little practice! The Steel comes with a strong, no-nonsense, dark green plastic grip and will strike well off the steel striker blade provided or off the back edge of any quality knife. This version is good for around 12,000 ignitions, so it should keep you going for a while.
