RRP: £1575.00
Pure HD (High Definition) quality; crystal-clear imaging and razor sharp focus. Part of the Leica 'flagship Ultravid HD range launched in 2008 to great aclaim. The 8 x 32 model is much favored by traditional deer-stalkers and especially those who tend to mainly stalk on the hill and who might be looking to make weight-savings. Although these binoculars have 'only' a 32mm objective the light transmission has to be seen to be belived!
A huge favorite with safari and dangerous game hunters who appreciate compact quality binocular sets.
Probably one of the finest sets of binoculars available....go on, pick them up - we know you won't be able to put them down.

Yet more HD (High Definition) quality; crystal-clear imaging and sharp focus but with slightly more 'ummph'. Part of the 'flagship Ultravid HD range launched in 2008 to great aclaim. The 10 x 32 model is another favorite of deer-stalkers and especially those who tend to mainly stalk on the hill, who might be looking to make weight savings. The 10x32HD also has an astonishing 'close-focus' range of 2.1m - much sought after by nature observationists with an interest in small creatures such as moths, butterlies and dragonflies.

They're all so good it's hard to choose a favorite all-round Leica binocular but, the 7x42 Ultravid HD has to be a very strong contender; certainly this set is one of leica's best sellers and those who really understand binoculars will tend toward the 7x power over the 8x because of its light transmission efficiency. Light and easy to deploy, crystal clear focus and colour definition and with an astonishingly wide field of view - for this latter reason, it's no suprise really that the 7x42 is much favored by lowland/woodland deer-stalkers and bird-spotters alike. Hard even for us to belive but, the new 'HD' glass really is a significant improvement to the standard Ultravid binoculars we once described as 'perfect'.
The build-quality and functional perfection really do make these binoculars great value for money!

Probably one of the best all-round binoculars sets available on the market today; the 8x42 Ultravid does everything the 7x42 does but with slightly more power - there is a trade-off though and the field-of-view is noticibly smaller than through the 7's. But, for thsoe who need slightly more power to view fine detail, that is an acceptable situation. Leica "Aquadura" coatings on ALL HD binocular sets improves their uselfulness to birders, nature-waters and deer-stalkers especially by addressing that problematic in-coming driving rain problem!

The most powerful of teh 42mm Ultravid range, the 10x42 HD delivers compact power for those who want to view detail over greater distance - the additional power does compromise field-of-view and light-gathering at dawn and dusk to a degree, but this is not really an optics set designed for the lowland stalker - this is a compact highland-stalker's optic through and through.

HD glass represents a huge break-through in Optics technology and once again, Leica were the first manufacturer to deliver; HDglass now sets Leica apart from other German optics companaies. Another contender in our Favorite Leica Field Optics competition - the 8x50HD is a noticibly heavier set but when you view through them you immediately see what that extra glass at the front delivers over the 42mm sets - astonishing light gathering performance from the High Definition glass! Combine this with Leica's usual crystal clear focus and fabulous colour representaion and you have a wonderful ''all rounder" - a huge favorite with deer-stalkers, and no wonder.
Interestingly, the 50mm 8 power set is priced the same as the 42mm.....we think highland stalkers would benefit from the 50mm objective lens and certainly the extra light gathering benefit makes the 50mm the overall stalker's choice in 8 power Ultravid.

For the 10x50 read the 8x50 description and then add 10x power! Really! The extra power tends this binocular set toward hill-stalkers but the 50mm objective lens means a slightly reduced field of view but yes, you CAN have power and light-gathering performance!

Something of a specialists tool - it's not uncommon for Leica to produce these fairly singular binocular sets. The 12 power 50mm Ultravids are essentially designed for use by professional guides looking to establish 'trophy status' - often working in low or 'flat' light conditions. Before you make a choice - take a look at the 15x56 Geovid.

New HD (High Definition) glass and AquaDura coatings combine uncompromising, high-performance optics combined with a laser range finder in one lightweight, water-tight binocular. The new improved HD range uses Leica's Fluoride glass technology for even better definition, brilliance and contrast resulting in near-perfect optics; we used to describe this set as 'the last word in excellence' and 'the ultimate stalker's binoculars' - following the release of the 8x56 however we have to temper that now to - "excellent compromise between light-weight and quality range-finding binocular" and "still a first choice for those looking for the ultimate in stalking optics". The new AquaDura lens coating repels water and dirt making HD lenses easier to clean and use in extreme weather conditions - such as driving rain, mist or hill-fog!

RRP: £2129.00

THIS IS IT!!.....the ultimate deer-stalkers optic.
Optics that will take your breath away...if the price hasn't already...!!
Are they worth it...?......we think so; the new HD (High Definition) glass and AquaDura coatings combine uncompromising, high-performance optics combined with a laser range finder in powerful, water-tight binocular. The new improved HD range uses Leica's Fluoride glass technology for even better definition, brilliance and contrast resulting in near-perfect stalking optics; the 8x56 Geovid took the deer-stalking world by storm when it was launched and is still the world's finest stalking optic/range finder combo available today. This is the first choice for those looking for the ultimate in stalking optics. Not the lightest binoculars on the market by any means, but the crisp optics are breathtaking and as the light fades these binoculars really come into their own; they literally grab any available light and turn it to your advantage. You really can own a pair of range-finding binoculars with no optical compromise what-so-ever.

RRP: £2319.00
Something of a specialist's tool; Leica high-performance, very high power optics combined with a laser range finder. Designed for the professional stalker who needs to be able to discern fine detail at distance or in flat light conditions.
A useful tool for specialist trophy stalkers, and the lowland stalking professional who can accept that there is inevitably a trade-off between power & light gathering; although HD Fluoride Glass and Aqua dura coating mitigate this problem as much as is possible in a field optic.
All Leica binoculars come with a Cordura case, protective lens-caps and neck-strap.
