Maxpedition's EDC (Every Day Carry) Pouch is absolutely ideal for the task.
The pouch comprises an ultra flat general purpose pouch; ideal for unobtrusive attachment to any modular surface or fits perfectly into any trouser 'Cargo' pocket or similar.

Yet another smart idea from Maxpedition; an ingenious pouch to accommodate a map and GPS/Mobile phone device (Accommodates most GPS types). The Map pouch is a double layer comprising a completely waterproof envelope within a clear window; the entire Map pouch is Velcro-detachable and can be torn off when required and then safely stowed back in position.

The Maxpedition Triad Admin Pouch is a combination of three useful pouches/holsters in one low-profile, storage organiser. On the left side is a sheath pouch which has a fully adjustable lid that can securely hold folding knife, multi-tool (Gerber or similar), or a tourch of up to 5" length; at the bottom of this is a grommet to allow drainage. In the middle, is a zipper-closure 'barnacle-style' pouch with internal 'accordion' dividers and front flat pocket. On the right, is a newly designed phone/radio holder that can accommodate a phone/radio of up to 5" tall excluding antenna. At the rear is a flat high-security pocket with a velcro closure; inside are three elastic loops for further organisation.
On the top in the middle is an attachement loop for lanyard connetions.
Of course, you can use these pouches for anything you wish - this is perhaps one of the most alluring feature of all Maxpedition products - make it yours by adapting for your own use.
The Triad Admin Pouch can be attached to MOLLE/PALS webbing, other Maxpedition packs or your belt by using two or more "TacTie" ties (sold separately in packs of 4 and also available from Red-Deer Outdoors).
